The Company
The company has sophisticated purpose-built workshops in Italy (Genoa), Malta, USA (Houston), Netherlands (Rotterdam) and UK (Southampton), Sales offices in Cyprus and Greece. Strategic international partners in Dubai, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Turkey.
TSI Turbo Service International moved from it’s Heerjansdam (NLD) location in 2016 to a 12,500sqft facility in s-Gravendeel. The state of the art facility is equipped to handle all turbocharger maintenance and repair works, and includes a dedicated bearing room for the assembly of SNR bearings. TSI have partnered with NTN-SNR since 2013 to assemble and market a full range of high quality roller bearings to the marine industry.
In June 2020 TSI opened its Genoa branch in Bolzaneto, Italy. Working in partnership with Tonissi, this brand new facility will enable TSI to offer turbocharger services to the Marine and Power station industry in Italy and Southern Europe.

Our expert engineering staff are all trained to OEM standards and all our work is covered by a comprehensive 12-month warranty, making the company a cost effective and reliable alternative to the OEM.
TSI works to the highest standards, each component that enters the workshop undergoes a series of rigorous checks. Trained in house professionals carry out comprehensive measurements, wear analysis and inspection of components, transmitting the results to owners anywhere in the world.
Specialist weld repair methods can restore most damaged turbine blades, and shafts, to their original shape, strength and integrity, offering customers a significant saving on replacements. All repairs are subject to stringent tests to ensure conformity and are of course covered by our comprehensive warranty.
The company can provide new and reconditioned parts on direct sale or on an exchange basis. These include bearings, oil pumps and rotors.
Our 24 hour dedicated breakdown team can take responsibility for all aspects of a breakdown from supply of spare parts to organising logistic support and attendance of engineers worldwide. To achieve this, the company works with specialist logistic partners, who have positive relationships with airlines around the world to ensure priority treatment when required. A door to deck service covers the entire supply chain from collection, including dealing with customs and port authorities, to delivery on board. Every TSI engineer regularly attend OEM factory courses to ensure their skills remain current.

Duncan’s career started in a metallurgical background supplying aerospace alloys to the aviation industry. Duncan is the founder member of TSI Turbo Service International, and started the company in 1989. Duncan has overseen the continuous growth of the business since its inception. Sarah Kay
Group Managing Director
Sarah joined the company in 2002 working in the Sales Department. Throughout the years Sarah has gained experience in all aspects of the commercial, operational, and administrative functions within the group of companies. Sarah is responsible for the group acquisitions, staff activities, staff guidance, company budgets, company practices, policies, and is the Managing Director for the group of companies.

Chris joined ABB Antwerp in 1989-1999 as Technical Manager. During this time he was promoted to Business Unit Manager responsible for Belgium within the ABB Group. Chris joined TurboNed Netherlands 1999-2012 as Sales Director responsible for sales and building a worldwide sales and service network. Chris joined TSI in 2013 as Global Sales Manager and is head of our internal sales department. Chris manages our team of agents worldwide and is responsible for new contracts and the management of some key accounts.

Ed has over 35 years of experience in the marine industry and is a Member of the Institute of Marine Engineers. He sailed for 10 years on Container vessels, Tankers and Reefers back in the 80’s. In 1990 he joined Electrocatalytic Ltd (Elcat) as a commissioning engineer installing sea water antifouling systems and Impressed current cathodic protection systems in the Marine, Offshore and Power Industries. In 1995 he took up a sales role with Elcat specifically concentrating on the marine market, eventually becoming Sales Manager for Europe, Middle East and Asia. Ed joined TSI in 2003 as Global Sales Manager and took up the Sales Director’s role in 2008. Ed has a wealth of experience in the maritime market, and you will see him at regular networking events around the world. Ed heads up the External sales team at TSI.
Jean Paul Azzopardi
Technical Director
Jean Paul Joined ABB in 2004 as a service engineer, A precision engineer by trade, an engineering graduate with an MBA, he went on to join the technical team supporting the sales function with
technical advisory for turbocharger operations and diesel engines. He continued his studies on Diesel combustion engines during this role.
In 2008 Jean Paul joined the end user sales team as the head of technical sales where his main role was to identify and resolve technical issues and ensure correct product selling. During this time his
specialities were fault finding, performance analysis, diagnostics and fuel efficiency.
Jean Paul joined TSI in 2017 and is the Sales Manager for the Mediterranean region.

Rob has over 25 years’ experience within the International Maritime services sector having started his career in 1995 with Unitor ships service which later became Wilhelmsen Ships service. During his 18 years with the company, he held various commercial positions from Sales manager to Global Business manager. In 2013 he joined Nance International as Regional Director for their European operation and most recently was working as Managing Director for Oceanic technical solutions where his focus was on providing ship owners and ship managers with technical refrigeration & HVAC solutions.

John’s sea going career has spanned over 27 years of which 10 were as Chief Engineer on Tanker, Dry cargo, container, Ro Ro, Ro Pax Ferries and Cruise Liners vessels. John came ashore in 2001 as Technical Supt with V Ships in Cyprus until 2007 when he moved to Maestro Shipmanagement. In 2009 John moved to Dobson’s Fleet Management as Fleet Manager and then in 2012 returned to V Ships as Fleet Manager. John joins our team as Sales Manager for the Cyprus area.

Craig joined the commercial sales team in April 2023 following a 20-year career within the telecommunications industry. Craig has an extensive background in Account Management / Sales and building client relationships along with a strong technical knowledge. Craig works closely with the Commercial Director and Commercial Manager within TSI.

Suzanne joined the TSI team in December 2023. She comes from the energy industry and has worked in organisations delivering manufacturing, construction, operations, and project management services. She has an applied business and management degree and has gained experience in roles involving quality, business planning, commercial policy, digital transformation, change management, and stakeholder engagement. Suzanne is part of our commercial team and is currently working on improvement projects to refine our processes and prepare us for future growth.
